Admittedly, NASCAR fans are some of the most loyal fans in all of racing. While they stand their ground for their favorite driver as they furiously defend their pride, it also takes nothing more than a few amateur performances or a bad attitude to tick off these ardent fans. And this whole conversation can be summarized by looking at one particular Cup Series driver, Bubba Wallace!

Though the driver was once adored by fans, he has now become the center of criticism for many in the community. Despite his stellar on-track performances at Darlington, Kansas, and the North Wilkesboro Speedway, the 23Xl Racing driver has been facing rampant hate from fans.

Recently, NASCAR veteran and the man behind the return of NWB, Dale Earnhardt Jr has rolled out yet another interesting, Dale Jr Download podcast where he sheds light on the unnecessary behavior of the fans towards Wallace as he cites an episode from Darlington.

Dale Earnhardt Jr Is “Disappointed” to See the Level of Hostility Toward Bubba Wallace

The 2-time Daytona winner and one of the most popular names in the NASCAR circle made his thoughts clear when he talked about his disappointment at seeing hostility of fans towards Denny Hamlin‘s NASCAR driver, Bubba Wallace. While the Joe Gibbs Racing driver is a favorite for many, he too faced boos amidst cheers.

While mentioning these scenarios, Dale Jr recalls his disbelief to see certain fans go bonkers when they see the #23 on stage. And the recent uproar caused by the hate scandal row, for which the FBI found no evidence, has added heat to the already worse scenario.

Despite him coming home second only to the dominant HMS speedster, Kyle Larson, Dale Jr explains his state of mind when he saw the amount of disrespect hurled toward the 31-year-old this past week. He said, I know that there are people out there that hated Kyle Busch and hated other drivers, and if they probably have said some nasty things. But it just made me really um disappointed.”

Junior further explained his hesitation as he elaborated on his take, I’ve been hesitant to talk to Bubba about it because I thought that otherwise outside of the moment Sunday at North Wilkesboro Bubba was smiling I had you know I feel good about our run we got our butt kicked by Kyle (Larson), I’m glad we’re running well and I’m looking forward to the next race and I didn’t want to text him the next day and bring him back down.”

“[I don’t wanna] go ‘man I hate what I saw you go through at Darlington’. That really was an eye opener for me and I hope you um I hope you don’t let you know all of those things bother you too badly,”

He said, “There’s this guy right in front of me and Carl Edwards and Matt Kenseth and everyone else there screaming at the top of his lungs, GO HOME, GO HOME, GO HOME over and over as loud as he could and it was so obnoxious I really wanted to jump down there and go hey could you stop,”
