Home/NASCAR

Kyle Larson recently said that he would, ‘love an opportunity if it came’ to make a comeback in NASCAR. There have been talks of Larson’s return, with a series of potential destinations cropping up in a bid to welcome the 28-year-old.

“There’s a lot to weigh and stuff, and there’s nothing that’s come up, either, so I haven’t had to make too many tough decisions or anything like that,” Larson said in an interview last week.

“But definitely if the opportunity was there, I’d love to give it a shot to get back and prove to the NASCAR world that I am a great race car driver, and I know if I got the right opportunity, I could win a lot of races like I am right now,” Larson added.

Will Kyle Larson make a NASCAR return?

One such possibility is seeing Kyle Larson drive in a Ford car next season, which seems like an exciting prospect.

Mark Rushbrook, Global Director of Ford Performance Motorsports, has certainly not ruled out the possibility of having Larson on board.

FOX Sports’ Bob Pockrass posted a video on Twitter, speaking to Rushbrook about the same.

I told Ford Performance Motorsports global director Mark Rushbrook that he might want to push this question to Edsel Ford II, but it’s silly season and I was curious on whether there have been any talks about Kyle Larson in a Ford next year,” Pockrass tweeted.

We’re here to win races in the right way. We want to be competitive on track. Looking to see what we can do for any open seats next year to fill up with the best driver,” Rushbrook added further.
