Hendrick Motorsports has always championed the virtues of discipline and composure among its drivers. Jeff Gordon, only about a month ago, emphasized this ethos, stating that while he’s easygoing about others, he’d prefer his drivers to steer clear of casting themselves in a negative light, be it through their words or actions. In fact, they aim for their drivers to maintain a neutral stance at all times.
However, breaking away from this serious image, Hendrick Motorsports recently sprinkled a bit of fun on its Instagram story. They shared a playful video showcasing Kyle Larson’s lighter moments. Fans got a glimpse of Larson enjoying his morning walk, having a blast in the car, and reveling in the euphoria of a race win, among other cheerful snippets.

Denny Hamlin, Bubba Wallace, and Ross Chastain are often labeled as the more colorful characters on the circuit, known for their unapologetic fun, wit, and sarcasm. Now, it seems Kyle Larson is joining the ranks of these fun-loving drivers.
In a recent Instagram story by Hendrick Motorsports, Larson showed that he’s just as capable of having a laugh as anyone else. The video having a screenshot of a comment that said “Work on their acting skills while corrupting Kyle even further,” featured Larson agreeing to make a TikTok every time he wins, responding with a playful nod. Then, there was a moment where the cameraman jokingly told Larson, “You can’t park here,” and he took it in stride with a grin. Another clip showed Larson goofing around with an oversized hat that completely covered his face. But they saved the best one for the last. The funniest bit was when he emerged from his vanity van, lip-syncing humorously to a voice in the background saying, “Hurry up,” with Larson responding, “What? I am ready!”

- William Byron, Hendrick Motorsports
- Kyle Larson, Hendrick Motorsports
- Ryan Blaney, Team Penske
- Denny Hamlin, Joe Gibbs Racing
- Christopher Bell, Joe Gibbs Racing
Byron and Larson were hot on each other’s heels in the 2023 Championship 4, with Larson edging out Byron, who notched up a leading six wins. Blaney, who left them in the dust to clinch the title at Phoenix, is right on their tail, gunning for a back-to-back victory – a feat not seen since Jimmie Johnson’s five-year reign from 2006 to 2010.
Joe Gibbs Racing’s Denny Hamlin, the Cup Series’ most victorious driver without a championship title, might just see 2024 as his golden year. His teammate Christopher Bell is stepping into 2024 with the unique distinction of reaching the Championship 4 in both 2022 and 2023.
