NASCAR driver Corey Lajoie went out to reveal details surrounding the reason behind Denny Hamlin and Kyle Busch’s disqualification at the Pocono Raceway earlier this week. He revealed the same during one of his “Stacking Pennies” podcast episodes.

During the podcast, Corey said, “I heard as soon as the 18 and 11 parked in the pit road, there was an official that went right to the rep and pulled it off, like what’s this?”

He continued, “The way they (Toyota) ID kit of their nose, how it’s made, it goes up to about I don’t know 6 to 7 inches, halfway up the front fender as well. So they just put this helicopter tape up this body line here to soften the bodyline up to add some of the sides to it, knock some front, put some front DF in it.”

“Whatever it was I can assure you it wasn’t worse or they wouldn’t went through the process of doing that. They owned it in the way of saying we’re gonna adjust the assembly process, we might have forgot a piece tape. No, there was on there on purpose.”

He claimed that a NASCAR snitch decided to reveal the exact details to the race officials when Denny and Kyle had come into the pits.

Back in 2013, he won his second ARCA Series race, ModSpace 125 at Pocono, and he also met his soon-to-be wife Kelly for the first time. His wife is a native of Mount Pocono. This year at Pocono, he also ran a special WWE Summer Slam livery on his number 7 Spire Motorsports car.
