During the podcast, Corey said, “I heard as soon as the 18 and 11 parked in the pit road, there was an official that went right to the rep and pulled it off, like what’s this?”
He continued, “The way they (Toyota) ID kit of their nose, how it’s made, it goes up to about I don’t know 6 to 7 inches, halfway up the front fender as well. So they just put this helicopter tape up this body line here to soften the bodyline up to add some of the sides to it, knock some front, put some front DF in it.”
“Whatever it was I can assure you it wasn’t worse or they wouldn’t went through the process of doing that. They owned it in the way of saying we’re gonna adjust the assembly process, we might have forgot a piece tape. No, there was on there on purpose.”
He claimed that a NASCAR snitch decided to reveal the exact details to the race officials when Denny and Kyle had come into the pits.
