It is safe to say that the 2022 Coca-Cola 600 was a roaring success. In fact, many are calling it one of the best races that they have ever seen. Admittedly, it was also the longest ever NASCAR race, but that just meant more action for the fans to watch. Former NASCAR driver Clint Bowyer definitely had plenty of great things to say about the race.

He said, “It was like nobody wanted to win this race. Attrition was such a big part of it. You always know what’s going to be part of a 600 mile race. But this Coca-Cola 600 by far the best one I’ve ever experienced.”

“How about the #5 and Chase Briscoe, the battle they had. Coming literally coming to the white flag. Briscoe took a move and went for it and spun out again just like in Bristol. Nonetheless went for it and set up that chain reaction at the end.”

The former Stewart-Haas Racing driver admitted that seeing cars going four-wide was truly exciting. He and co-commentator Mike Joy also noted that the 63rd edition of the Coca-Cola 600 was the longest one in history, at least as far as time and the number of laps went.

In the end, Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin stormed to victory in the one crown jewel race win that he was missing.

The 2022 Coca-Cola 600 triumph is his second win of the season, and he definitely savored it. With this win, he now joins William Byron and Ross Chastain as double-winners. Now, the NASCAR fraternity will head to the World Wide Technology Raceway in Gateway for the next race of the season. This will be new territory for the drivers as the Cup Series drivers have never raced here before.
