Christopher Bell explains his relationship with the legendary crew chief:
During a conversation over a podcast, Bell revealed, “Yeah, that’s actually an interesting topic point because each crew chief driver relationship has... A unique way of communicating… Adam is very much just. Let him work on his deal and stay out of his hair…”
“We’ll debrief on Mondays and then if there’s stuff that comes up, he’ll reach out to me or I’ll reach out to him but basically.”
“If it’s smooth sailing, I’ll see him Friday afternoon or we get to the garage… That’s the way he rolls he likes to be left alone and get his head down and keep digging.”

Bell’s explanation might have the answer to Kyle Busch’s crew chief split
Bell had explained that his crew chief, Adam Stevens, had his own way of doing things. He apparently did not like it if anyone were to tell him what to do. Moreover, this could serve as the primary explanation as to why Stevens decided to part ways with Busch at the end of the 2020 season.

In a past interview, Busch revealed that he had requested Stevens to implement certain “personnel” adjustments within their No. 18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota team. However, Stevens found himself at odds with Busch’s proposals. Apparently, Stevens responded by suggesting they both pursue different paths and evaluate the outcomes.
