Habits are hard to break, aren’t they? And what better example than what Christopher Bell set in New Hampshire? He clenched the 24-pound lobster in the victory lane and was all smiles because he had just won the race at the track again for the seventh time! This win makes it his third win of the season, a feat only three others have completed yet this season. However, it didn’t look that great for Bell from the get-go of the race. In fact, it once looked like Tyler Reddick would pick up the checkered flag.

But going into the race, everyone obviously had their eyes on Bell. After all, this is his comfort track and fans expected a fierce race to the end. And well, were they not disappointed? Bell just swept the race and put a close to the weekend in the most Kyle Busch fashion

Christopher Bell won Saturday’s Xfinity game clenching a 4th back-to-back win. His confidence, going into the cup race, was fully justified. But the rains just made everything look dull and grim. In fact, Bell might not have won had NASCAR not decided to resume the race with wet weather tires. Most probably, Reddick would have taken home the win. Instead, the official’s decision gave Bell a chance to set it right. And then there was no stopping. The 29-year-old driver beat the SHR Chase Briscoe to the finish line by 1.104 seconds in overtime.

The race lasted six hours, including a two-hour-plus delay, and ultimately ended with the field on a damp surface tire. This is the only second time in history a point-paying race used the newly developed tires. And Bell made full use of the opportunity. He led 149 laps, resembling a weekend sweep similar to those Kyle Busch is known for. Busch has accomplished an impressive 12-weekend sweep across NASCAR’s national series. These 12 sweeps are the most in NASCAR history!

In acknowledging his own achievements, Christopher Bell paid tribute to the legacy left by those who preceded him. He shared with SiriusXM, “It’s incredible, and I just can’t help but remember all the guys who have done it before me, sweeping weekends, most notably Kyle Busch. He would do it all the time! I respect the heck out of him for doing that, and it feels really good to get my first one.” While Kyle Busch was a trailblazer previously, he seemed to battle from the get-go in this track. And his saga of crashes didn’t seem to leave him yet again.

Kyle Busch is struggling this season and seems like with every race his patience is kind of running out. He’s the same person who’s won a race 19 seasons in a row, and now with no wins and him constantly crashing, it’s hard to believe he is the same person everyone knows and remembers. But after his shift from JGR, everything seems to have changed. His pit crew issues are no secret, and his car and equipment problems are out in the open. In May, Busch had an incident with Ricky Stenhouse Jr, which led Stenhouse Jr right out of the race. After which, in a raging feat, he threw punches at Busch.

Next, in the gateway raceway, Kyle Larson got loose and spun into Busch, sending him home. Next, the Sonoma raceway, where he got spun out again by Ross Chastain on the final lap. And given that he was in the top 5 that day and lost such a lead was a burn. Then, in Iowa, he suffered a mechanical issue and finished 35th. He even crashed on a tire test by Goodyear and became the talk of the town. And now, yet again at New Hampshire, his day couldn’t have gone any worse.

The first incident happened on lap 155 when Busch hit a wall after his contact with Noah Gragson. But then again on lap 217, he spun on the backstretch, ahead of NASCAR stooping the race due to the rain. But that was not all.

Once again after the race resumed, he smashed to the wall! He finished 35th now for the second consecutive week, and it is concerning. It’s definitely a day he would like to forget! Fans are flooding the socials, with questions and speculations about Busch’s downfall. One fan said, “Another week, another Kyle Busch crash. The bad luck continues” whilst another just said, “He’s fed up with RCR’s subpar equipment.”

But everyone has one question–why does Kyle Busch keep crashing?

Kevin Harvick had a great answer to that, and that just might be the reason why. He said, “He wants to win. He’s so competitive that we see all these mistakes and spinouts and different things happen because he’s pushing extra hard. He is getting everything he can out of that car. It’s in practice; it’s in qualifying; it’s in racing, and that’s just how he’s built. It’s caught up with him a little bit because of the fact that he’s had so many problems, but this one was not of his making.”

Clearly, Harvick is mentioning that RCR is the one to blame here for Busch’s pitfalls. While rumors swirled about a potential return to Joe Gibbs Racing, there’s been no solid confirmation. With Briscoe now signed up with them, that possibility seems off the table.
