The NASCAR Cup Series race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway concluded with Kurt Busch emerging victorious. In light of that, younger brother, Kyle Busch spoke about the win returning to the Busch household.
At 42 years of age, Kurt Busch is pretty much a veteran in the sport. So far, there are no talks of retirement, but Kyle Busch believes that his sibling wants to bow out on a high.
He said, “I think he’s checked everything off the box that he needed to check. He’s going out in high style here whenever he decides he’s all done.”

Truthfully, Kurt’s future is in his own hands and as long as he is performing, age is just a number. One of the best examples is MotoGP legend, Valentino Rossi, who is 41-years old but is still just as competitive.

What else did Kyle Busch say about his brother Kurt Busch?
He praised his older sibling and admitted that wins are extremely difficult to achieve. Kyle alluded to his own inability to take a win this season, despite starting in 2nd place alongside Kevin Harvick. The #18 driver can actually be proud that he already has a win at Las Vegas, though he lucked into that win.

Apparently, Kyle Busch had an eventful race of his own, as he tangled with Joey Logano (again). Later on, the Joe Gibbs Racing driver encountered problems in his pit stop, as the wheel gun malfunctioned.
Naturally, this cost him precious seconds and he lost ground in the lead battle.
Coming back to the Kyle Busch and Joey Logano incident, it took place on Lap 89. The good news was that the #18 car was able to recover and record a sixth-place finish in the South Point 400. This was enough to help him jump up one spot in the NASCAR Cup Series Playoffs standings.

Sadly for Logano, he took the worst of the damage and dropped down the order to finish 14th on the lead lap. Consequently, he got bumped down two positions in the standings. Now, the #22 Penske driver is sitting just 11 points above the cut-off line with two races left in the Round of 12.
