Over the years, NASCAR has certainly evolved to be the behemoth it is today. Cars have become much safer while the organization has amended rules and managed to keep the promotion afloat after a disastrous pandemic. And now with the NASCAR nation active and enthusiastic, an online fan poked the community’s curiosity when he shared a thread of intriguing tweets, citing rumors about Hendrick Motorsports driver, Chase Elliott.
Following the intense Cup Series race at WWT Raceway, the NASCAR community was treated to a spree of tweets that caught the attention of fans as they encouraged their fellow enthusiast, “This is a thread I didn’t know I needed.”
Paul Fodde, an ardent NASCAR fan and a sneakerhead at heart started off the online banter when he confirmed rumors in the HMS camp related to Chase Elliott. Elliott’s PR agent, as per Fodde, has admitted to having an array of shoes according to the paint scheme of the Chevies.

While NASCAR Cup Series drivers are admired for their talent behind the wheel, over the years, drivers’ suits are also a point of discussion. Ardent fans not only identify their driver’s style quotient but these small trends often lead to a social trend among fans that attract more towards the sport of NASCAR.
Likewise, NASCAR has had numerous instances of perfect product placement. And the sport’s most successful team, Hendrick Motorsports has been closely associated with apparel giant, Nike. Paul Fodde’s thread had a curious element to it when he mentioned Elliott‘s PR agent.
As per the Twitter post, he wrote, “I talked to PR for the 9 team, she had AF1’s similar to the NAPA paint scheme that was custom made. Confirmed that pretty much all of Hendrick PR wears shoes to match the paint scheme. Which is super cool to me.”

Disclosing an age-old rumor, the avid fan seemed like he was on a mission as he went about his sneaker hunt. The pure white footwear with the iconic swoosh resembled the White and Blue racing livery of the #9 Chevrolet perfectly.
Later on, the fan also revealed Elliott’s teammate, Alex Bowman’s footwear as the sneakerhead went on a merry cruise while others joined him in the comments section as they lauded Fodde’s effort.

Further down the thread, he also put out Elliott’s teammate and popular driver, Kyle Larson. Larson’s PR, on the other hand, donned a blue Nike Dunk low-solid (maybe the blue color was a tribute to the #5 Blue Chevrolet). With so many sneakers in a single thread, fans quickly went about identifying the apparel while others went about picking their favorite.
Fans also encouraged Paul Fodde as they lauded him for his invaluable effort.
“Very well done, we need more of this level of attention on the #NASCAR sneaker game”
“This was awesome! Thanks for sharing!!”

If you think the threads were just for Nike, then you are wrong, the thread had almost all top brands with their premium offerings, including a Black-Green Air Jordan for Tyler Reddick and notably the rookie sensation, Noah Gragson’s Chunky Dunky Nike.
