As we head to the final race of this season in the NASCAR Cup Series, the battle for the championship heats up. Drivers are overwhelmed with the pressure as we count down to who will lift the trophy this year. Meanwhile, the Playoff leader, Joey Logano does not seem to be too concerned as he claims that he has an added advantage on all of his competitors.

Logano said, “We’ve had two and a half weeks to think about nothing but Phoenix, and if you only have a certain amount of time in a day and everybody else had to focus in on Miami and Martinsville to get there. Where we had one quick conversation, oh yeah let’s do that, that’s fine, what about Phoenix and we kept going on. That’s where my mind had been these two weeks.

“These guys just got done racing at Martinsville and the cars gotta be loaded up Wednesday afternoon, you don’t have time. Meanwhile, your drivers are doing media, like we are right now. All day today, got media all day Thursday. they don’t have the time for the meetings and to have the talk about the little details. That’s what it’s going to come down to, that’s what this race is about.”

“They are all gonna be fast, all four or five of us are gonna be fast on the racetrack. The people, the human element is going to be the difference that’s gonna win the championship and we have the advantage, it’s plain and simple. We do, we’ve been here five times, we’ve won, we’ve lost, and we’ve learned every time and we have a two-week advantage over everybody… We are in a position to win this thing this year.”

Joey Logano believes that he can win the Championship

Logano remains confident that he can pull it all off and take home the championship with ease.

Logano apparently stated, “I think we’re going to win. We’re not celebrating the fact that we’re in the Championship 4. We want to celebrate when we’re champions.”

The Penske driver is currently seated at the top of the Championship Playoff standing, but now all four contenders have their points reset. We hope that Logano is able to win the championship, but who knows a wild Ross Chastain may just appear riding the walls once again.
