Former NASCAR Cup Series driver and four-time champion Jeff Gordon has never left the NASCAR world, even nearly a decade after his retirement. With his role currently as the Vice Chairman of Hendrick Motorsports, he has a lot of things on his plate to focus on. Recently, during an interview, Gordon was asked about his day-to-day responsibilities.
Before Gordon could say anything, Chase Elliott, who was seated beside him, intervened and said, “dealing with me.” Both of them laughed for a brief moment, and then Gordon continued, “No, he makes my life a lot easier you know. I mean part of the job is, you know, working with … luckily I work with great people. Let’s be honest, I came into a pretty darn good situation and, you know, it’s been a lot of work to get there.”

Furthermore, Gordon emphasized the importance of equipping drivers like Chase, Kyle, William, and Alex with the resources they need to succeed on the track and win races and championships. He further solidified his argument by mentioning what he used to expect from the team back when he was a driver at Hendrick Motorsports.
