Talking about Hendrick Motorsports heading to the 24 Hours of Le Mans next year, Elliott stated, “I mean personally, if we were being honest, no I don’t have any interest in it, and the reason being is because there’s no competition in the class. Like I want to go compete and that’s the part that I enjoy is seeing where you stack up against other competitors you know and where I need to do better and challenging myself and pushing myself.”
He added, “when there are no other cars in the class that would take a large piece of the fun out of it for me so. Granted we can’t do it any way but I don’t have a ton of interest the way it is right now. Maybe if it changes down the road sure but not this one.”
Fans had been looking forward and were excited to see Elliot take part in the lineup for the iconic Le Mans project.

Consider it more of an exhibition garage. Hendrick stated, “Even though Garage 56 is a ‘class of one,’ we are competitors and have every intention of putting a bold product on the race track for the fans at Le Mans.”
