The driver has emphasized that his team’s current goal should be to improve their own performances, saying that it’s more of a one-man-army type situation back at the Hendrick Motorsports garage. The two drivers have had some intense moments this season, particularly at Sonoma and Iowa, where Larson’s aggressive moves for the lead frustrated Elliott, leading to heated radio exchanges and even suggesting that it crossed the line. While Larson has downplayed any rivalry and emphasized the importance of teamwork, the competition for the regular-season championship is clearly adding an extra layer of intensity to their relationship.

But all said and done, Elliott is keeping his eyes on the prize and not getting distracted by external competition. By focusing on his own team’s performance, he’s setting himself up for success in the second half of the season and the playoffs. So buckle up and pick a side to cheer, because the Cup Series just got a little more intense, folks!
