Following Chase Elliott’s defeat at the championship-winning race at Phoenix last weekend, it seems like the Dawsonville native has turned to another format of racing in order to find his mojo back. That’s right, Elliott will be once again participating in the Nitro Rally Cross event, with his eyes on doing well here.
Elliott posted pictures of his Nitro Rally Cross car flying across bumps with the caption, “Jump practice.” The Hendrick Motorsport driver debuted in the series back in 2021 and this year he will return for the fifth round at the Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Phoenix, Arizona.

He will be seen racing in the electric class, fighting alongside Formula One World Champion Jenson Button among several others. During his debut last year, Elliott managed to finish 15th in the standing, however, he had competed only in the final two events at North Florida and So Cal.
Talking about his return to Nitro Rally Cross, Elliott mentioned, “the thrill of putting your skills to the test on a course like this while competing against the best in rallycross is something I couldn’t get enough of.”

That incident put him all the way at the bottom of the grid and recovering from there with only a handful of laps remaining was nearly an impossible task at hand.
