There has been plenty of love lost between Chase Elliott and Kevin Harvick in the 2021 Cup Series season. Everything started off at the Bristol Motor Speedway a couple of weeks ago. The two of them got too close to each other and ended up in a shouting match. Needless to say, the rivalry resumed again at the Charlotte Motor Speedway Roval. Apparently, the Stewart-Haas driver punted the Hendrick Motorsports man, and Elliott returned the favor.

Later on, when the race ended, Harvick was eliminated from Playoff running. Needless to say, Chase Elliott was finally vindicated. Speaking about Harvick’s exit, a smug Elliott quipped, “As far as Kevin goes, I just want to wish them a merry off-season and a happy Christmas.

“Opinion’s certainly not changing, but it’s all good, but I’m just glad we’re moving on.”

After the Stewart-Haas Racing driver ended his race early, the Hendrick Motorsports team cried karmic justice. Harvick ended up all the way down in 33rd place and out of the race. Meanwhile, Chase Elliott brought up the rear of the Hendrick quartet in 12th place. On the bright side, he is still in Playoff contention along with teammate Kyle Larson.

Unfortunately, nobody could say the same for his teammates, William Byron, and Alex Bowman. The two of them join Kevin Harvick and Joe Gibbs Racing driver Christopher Bell in the elimination zone. Admittedly, this could potentially hurt Hendrick Motorsports’ chances, because two of their Chevrolet cars are up against three JGR Toyotas and three Team Penske Fords.

Undoubtedly, Elliott will be glad that Kevin Harvick is eliminated from the Playoff competition. This is because the two of them gave each other plenty of grief and faced off with each other at Bristol. The #4 Stewart-Haas driver even compared talking to Elliott to talking to his 9-year-old son. This is why there is no love lost between the two rivals, though Elliott does have the last laugh.
