Chase Elliott’s point calculations have undergone a shift, with the focus now placed on winning a race. Though his playoff contention was heavily impacted by 7 missed races, nevertheless, as an integral part of the Hendrick Motorsports organization, Elliott possesses the potential to shake up the competition by securing a race victory. The past year’s Coke Zero Sugar 400 at Daytona race, where Austin Dillon triumphed and secured a playoff spot, serves as a prime example of how a single win can alter the standings dramatically.
The battle for the playoffs has been fierce, with Bubba Wallace showing promising momentum. With only four races left for drivers in the playoffs bubble to make their mark, they are under immense pressure to prove their worth. Bubba Wallace, in particular, has shown promise in bursts, making the race to playoffs even more exciting and unpredictable. In preparation for the upcoming race, Wallace reflects on the hiccups he encountered last year.

Twelve drivers have secured their places in the playoffs through race victories, leaving only four spots remaining. Chasing down Kevin Harvick and Brad Keselowski, who have significant points leads, seems like a challenging task. So the battles will be fought for those two coveted places.
The upcoming FireKeeper Casino 400 promises to be exhilarating, with several drivers boasting impressive track records. Bubba Wallace and Brad Keselowski have shown prowess at the Michigan track, with Wallace securing the first pole of his career there last year and finishing second behind Kevin Harvick.
While Bubba Wallace has faced struggles with performance in the past, the last race at Richmond demonstrated improved speed as he and his teammate led for much of the earlier half. Unfortunately, an untimely last-lap mistake and penalties hindered their final race results. Nonetheless, Wallace remains confident and determined to replicate his decent second-place finish from last year.
Bubba Wallace acknowledged the changes in the car setup and his focus lies on executing his race plan effectively. During the latest episode of PRN’s Garage Pass newscast, Bubba Wallace stated, “Feel good about it you know some things have changed with the car little bit the temperature gonna be little different so nothing is ever the same. So you just have to go out and execute and try to plan out the last restart to be better.”
However, a good result for Wallace directly translates to more worries for Chase Elliott.

Hendrick Motorsports driver faces slim chances of making it to the playoffs. Unfortunately, the last four races have resulted in finishes outside the top 10 for the #9 Chevy driver. However, with utmost dedication and strong performances in the remaining four races, there is a glimmer of hope.
Interestingly, if he fails to qualify for the playoffs this year, it will be a first for the 2020 Cup Champion since his debut in 2016. He managed to gain seven points by finishing fourth in stage 1 and securing a 13th-place finish, which helped him narrow the gap to the cutoff line. Nevertheless, he remains 40 points behind Michael McDowell.
Among the four upcoming tracks, Chase Elliott has displayed impressive performances in the past. At Michigan, he has consistently made it into the top 10 in 10 out of 12 races. He achieved one top-5 finish in two outings at the Brickyard, and four top-5s in six races, including two wins at Watkins Glen.
