In case anybody had forgotten, Ross Chastain reminded everyone of his season-long, ‘Ross Chastain DGAF Tour’ once again during Stage 2 in Phoenix as the Trackhouse Racing driver spun out Chase Elliott.
It seemed Chastain, who had his bumper to Elliott in front, had a lot of momentum.
And as the #9 driver seemed to have lifted, he ended up being spun by the relentless #1 behind him.

This led to his crew chief, Alan Gustafson, asking his driver if the car was okay, to which Elliott simply replied, “It’s killed, what the fu*k?”
The 2020 Cup Series champion then asked his crew chief if he did something wrong, whether it was his mistake, to begin with. But Gustafson said it wasn’t. “These guys race that way,” the crew chief added.
But despite Gustafson’s claims, NASCAR fans thought otherwise as to them, it was Elliott who was more at fault than Chastain.
Ross did nothing wrong, Elliot blocked him way too late

Elliott got himself, this isn't friends. U want to pull down on me take the consequences. Ross is becoming the boss. For real driver, don't give anything. Not here to help u or respect you. Here to win, not lose to u.

Chase Elliott on Ross Chastain’s video game move
Speaking ahead of the Championship race, Chase Elliott opened up on his opinion, or rather, the lack of it, on whether there should be a rule against such a move. “I don’t know, maybe it’s not for me to say,” he claimed.

“It’s a tough one. I think we have a lot of rules as it exists today and I’m certainly not an advocate of having more rules I don’t think,” Elliott continued. “I think they ride a very fine line of entertainment value. The line of entertainment and integrity – that’s a really difficult one to balance.”
The Hendrick Motorsports ace also added that such was the level of promotion and marketing around Chastain’s move, that any discourse on a considerable level of banning it or dissecting its implications was lost.

“With all the retweets and likes and favorites (on social media) they’ve gotten on all the stuff this week, unfortunately, I think that’s driven it a little bit too much,” he added.
