Chase Elliott might not have had the dream season he was gunning for, but he still managed to snag the Most Popular Driver of the Year title for the sixth year running. That means his fanbase hasn’t shifted an inch in their devotion. Their support has certainly paid dividends. And now it’s time for something special for Elliott fans. They can now get their hands on a die-cast of Elliott’s speedster, the one where #9 joins forces with Kelley Blue Book for a couple of 2024 races.

This year also, Kelley Blue Book played a significant role, stepping up as the two-race primary sponsor and a full-season associate sponsor for Elliott’s No. 9 team in the NASCAR Cup Series. In 2023, Elliott took the wheel of the No. 9 Kelley Blue Book Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, first at the Phoenix Raceway on March 12 and later at the Cup Series playoff race at Texas Motor Speedway on September 24.

Kelley Blue Book, a familiar name in Chase Elliott’s NASCAR journey since his first Cup Series race in 2016, is gearing up to join forces with him once more. The 2024 season will see them as the primary sponsor for Elliott’s No. 9 Hendrick Motorsports Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 at both Phoenix and Talladega. This partnership, going strong since Elliott’s debut, will hit its ninth year in 2024. Elliott and Kelley Blue Book have a history of success together, not least his triumph at Charlotte Motor Speedway in 2020. With the brand emblazoned on his car, Elliott has racked up six top-five finishes and 10 top-10 finishes in 15 races.

The scheme for 2024 stays true to its roots – no major overhauls. Why mess with perfection? The Kelley Blue Book look is a sleek mix of light and dark blue, a real eye-catcher on the track. For the die-hard Chase Elliott fans, that’s the treat in store. They can pre-order the die-cast of the 2024 design, available in various sizes and finishes in regular paint 1:64 for $10.95, arc regular paint 1:24 for $74.95, and elite regular paint 1:24 for $119.95.

Also, the elite 1:24-scale diecasts are a collector’s dream with a fully metal chassis/body and functional hood, trunk, and roof flaps. Plus, fans can also sneak a peek at the first look of the 2024 HMS 40th anniversary and Hooters autographed die-casts on Chase Elliott’s official store.

Apparently, while 2023 might not be a year Elliott looks back on fondly, it certainly wasn’t one where he faded into the background.

Chase Elliott’s season was a testament to the old saying, “When the going gets tough, the tough get going.” Despite experiencing what could be called the roughest patch of his career, he kept his crown as NASCAR’s Most Popular Driver. Elliott’s season was a mixed bag, marred by a seven-race hiatus. First, a snowboarding mishap led to a broken leg, sidelining him early on.

Then, a deliberate clash with Denny Hamlin at the Coca-Cola 600 earned him a one-race suspension. Missing the playoffs, he wasn’t required to attend the season’s curtain-closer at the Music City Center. Yet, he made an appearance to accept the one accolade that fans alone decide.

Chase’s father, Bill Elliott, a luminary in the NASCAR Hall of Fame and the 2020 Cup champion, once held the Most Popular Driver title an astounding 16 times. “Awesome Bill from Dawsonville,” Georgia, gracefully stepped back from the race for the award.

Since then, the trophy has often stayed within the Elliott and Earnhardt families. Dale Earnhardt Sr‘s posthumous win in 2001 and Dale Earnhardt Jr’s subsequent 15-year reign means an Elliott or an Earnhardt has been the fans’ favorite for an unbroken 33 years.

Looking forward, Chase Elliott’s supporters are eagerly awaiting his comeback right from the starting line of the next season. And maybe, just maybe, he’ll steer clear of the snowboarding slopes before the Cup Series kicks off.
