Victories and defeats are an indispensable part of any sport. Not a single individual has thrived in a competitive world without biting the taste. And NASCAR is no exception. Drivers and their teams have witnessed the wheels of fortune spin as the momentum in the sport flowed and ebbed. However, with the continuous changes in the tidings of the sport, only a few teams have been able to stand as tall as Hendrick Motorsports.

With its roots strongly entrenched in the long-standing history of NASCAR, HMS has always occupied a hallowed position in the hearts of every NASCAR enthusiast. Similarly, with its achievements still intensifying, the team’s golden boy, Chase Elliott, does not fail to beat himself up for not being able to add to the creation of a monumental accomplishment.

Hendrick Motorsports began as a one-member team back in 1984, with the hiring of Geoffrey Bodine. Since then, the team has trudged a long way, carving its own niche through a series of achievements and occasional defeats. In contemporary times, Hendrick Motorsports is the winningest team in the paddock of NASCAR.

Apart from dreaming big and hoping to attain the unattainable, HMS has always been a powerhouse of talent, nurturing younger generations to realize their dreams in the world of stock car racing. Having honed talents like Jimmie Johnson and Jeff Gordon, HMS has become synonymous with victories and breaking records. Nevertheless, the present-day four-membered team has assuredly bore witness and attested to the fact. Due to this, Rick Hendrick’s team is set to achieve another milestone and add to its immortality.

Hendrick Motorsports is set to notch its 300th win and is just two races away from materializing it. However, it seems that the team’s golden boy, Chase Elliott, is heartbroken about the fact that he has not been able to play an active role in the ongoing season in helping the team reach that goal. However, he aspires to be able to do so during the playoffs, competing for the owner’s championship.

On being asked by the Frontstretch media about the team’s possible accomplishments and how can Elliott play an active role, the No.9 driver expressed, “Yeah, it would be great. That’s definitely, it’s a goal that we have set out to achieve, as a company this year. I haven’t helped with that very much but I would love to for sure.”

I just want to help get there. Would I love to be the one to get across the finish line? Sure, absolutely. But I just want to feel like I’m doing my part. I had the honor of winning race 250 for HMS, which was my first win so that was a special day for a lot of different reasons.”
