Drivers and crew chiefs have joined new ventures with the Stewart Haas Racing team formally ceasing its operations from the 2025 season. Chase Briscoe is now a part of Joe Gibbs Racing. And thus, fans are excited to witness what this partnership could offer for the 2025 season. For Briscoe, the primary sponsor has been Mahindra. However, there is a shift in that too for the upcoming season. 

In fact, Briscoe’s maiden victory was also driving Mahindra at the Phoenix Raceway in 2022. Given that Briscoe will be taking up the position of Martin Truex Jr, it is only natural for him to sport a Toyota for the season. 

Briscoe’s latest drive for 2025 will be with a Toyota Camry

The 2024 season saw Briscoe taking the lead at the Southern 500 on the Darlington Raceway. He secured a spot in the playoff for the Stewart Haas Racing team. However, the final run did not prove eventful and he finished the season at 14th position. During his entire drive, one partner who had been most loyal to him was Mahindra. In their debut year, Mahindra and Briscoe signed a 15-race agreement, which expanded to 16 races in 2023 and further increased to 18 races in 2024.

A recent Reddit post sparked debate when Briscoe was questioned about “What is the one type of vehicle that you’d like to see made into a series?”. 

Briscoe has replaced Martin Truex Jr for the 2025 year and it is a given that he will be driving his #19 Toyota Camry. In fact, Toyota’s Racing Development president, David Wilson said, “We are very excited to welcome Chase Briscoe to the Toyota family next season. Chase’s proven high character and racing acumen will fit perfectly amongst the talented drivers in the Joe Gibbs Racing and Toyota camps. We believe in Chase and look forward to all of the on-track success he will achieve aboard a Toyota Camry XSE”. 

Toyota is not the only big name that is getting associated with Chase Briscoe. In fact, he will be joined by Bass Pro. They will now be associated with Briscoe given the brand is already in a multiyear deal with the No. 19 team. The association with Toyota is big for Briscoe and it has now sparked a sentiment among the fans that he is becoming one-sided towards the same.

Chase Briscoe is quite an active X-handler. More often, fans see him responding to Reddit posts addressed towards him. Citing his name, a fan had commented on the Reddit post, “Which minivan are you suiting up and strapping into, Chase?!?”. Briscoe has been very clear about his choice with Toyota and in just one word, he responded to the fan, “Sienna”. 

The Sienna is a minivan manufactured and marketed by none other than Toyota. It’s extremely popular in the northern part of America. The car is named after the Italian city of Sienna and is quite a popular option. However, given the car’s exclusivity, it is often not easily available. Pointing out the same, a fan said, “I assume you didn’t have to go on the 6-month waiting list at the local dealership that us common folks did”.

While Briscoe pointed toward the Toyota Sienna, another fan shared a different opinion. The comment read, “Buick Terraza for me! Looks durable (and comfy!) 😂”. This one is also a luxury four-door minivan brought forth by Buick. Buiza and Toyota stand on very similar grounds given the features and the looks. However, another fan replied to the same thread and pointed to Briscoe’s responses guided by other factors. 

The fan commented, “I assume he is contractually obligated to say “Toyota Sienna” now”. Given that Toyota is officially sponsoring Briscoe, the fan hinted that he has to spell out Toyota’s name in all his choices. After all, who wouldn’t want to promote their own beneficiaries right? 

Briscoe’s nod to the Toyota Sienna cleverly blends personal preference with professional allegiance, leaving fans debating whether it’s loyalty or sponsorship steering his choice. However, whether the partnership will prove eventful for the 2025 run, stands the test of time. What do you think?
