The countdown to the 2025 NASCAR season is officially on, but Chase Briscoe’s off-season antics are still going strong! And honestly, it’s like he’s having too much fun. Whether he’s off-roading through the woods, wrapping Christmas gifts like a pro, or baking up a storm with his son, Briscoe’s been all about those good times.

We’ve always known Briscoe’s got a quirky side, but this off-season, it’s been on full display. The man’s been pulling pranks left and right, and, of course, laying down some serious dad jokes. Now that he’s a dad of three, the jokes are at peak dad-level cringe. But despite his best efforts, his wife Marisa isn’t exactly falling for it.

Dad jokes are his thing, and we’re here for it. Did you catch the recent Instagram video where Briscoe proves he’s a pro at pretty much every sport? From basketball to football to MMA, he’s out here living his best (AI-generated) life. Watching him in a firesuit dunking on the Rockets? Classic.

But let’s get back to the pranks. Briscoe recently shared an Instagram story where he tried to trick Marisa. The caption read, “Thought for sure I was gonna get her.” Well, with the camera rolling, Marisa wasn’t about to get caught slipping.

Chase Briscoe starts with a classic “pronounce these random letters” setup. First, he asks her to pronounce “T W A.” No real word there, just a random combo of letters, right? Marisa gave it her best shot, no problem. Then came “T W E” and “T W I.” Briscoe was convinced he had her on the ropes, but nope—she was still playing it cool.

And finally, the big one. Briscoe asks, “What’s T W O?” After all those random letter combos, he was sure she’d mess it up and say something goofy like “Tvo.” But nope—Marisa, with a straight face, says, “Two.” Ouch. Looks like Briscoe’s got some work to do if he wants to pull off a successful prank next time. Better luck next time, buddy!

But hey, we’re all for rooting for Marisa to stay one step ahead of him. Gotta keep him humble. Speaking of pranks, let’s talk about the time Christopher Bell accidentally spilled the beans about Briscoe’s move to Joe Gibbs Racing. This one definitely felt like something straight out of a prank show.

Chase Briscoe when he found out what Bell had done…

So, there’s Briscoe, in New Hampshire, when he gets a text from Bell that reads, “Chase, I really (expletive) up, I’m sorry.” Briscoe’s got no idea what Bell’s talking about. Turns out, Bell had already let it slip that Briscoe would be replacing Martin Truex Jr. in the #19 car at JGR next season.

Later, a reporter asks Briscoe, “What do you think about what Christopher said earlier?” At first, Briscoe thinks Bell must’ve said something ridiculous. He’s curious, though, so he asks for the details. When the reporter shows him the clip, it’s all laughs.

Briscoe shares the story, saying, “I’m like, ‘I don’t know what you’re talking about.’ He goes, ‘Oh, he said you’re going to JGR next year.’ He showed me the clip, and it was really funny. It was definitely one of those things where you just have to laugh. Christopher felt so bad, but it’s all good. Now I just give him a hard time about it every chance I get.”

Now that Briscoe and Bell are teammates, we can only imagine what kind of banter and pranks we’ll see between the two. But jokes aside, 2025 is shaping up to be a wild season for Joe Gibbs Racing, and having Briscoe on the team is definitely going to make things even more exciting.

For Briscoe, moving from Stewart-Haas Racing to JGR is a huge change. He recently opened up about the difference, saying, “I’d say the biggest thing is just how Coach is extremely involved in the day-to-day and how he’s always at the shop.” With Coach Joe Gibbs in his corner, we’re all curious to see how Briscoe will perform in this new chapter of his career.
