Denny Hamlin, arguably the best driver of his generation, made and broke a few records as he climbed up to the 15th spot in the list of all-time race winners in the NASCAR Cup Series. Tony Stewart, his former teammate held the spot before Hamlin’s record 7th win at the Pocono Raceway making him the winningest driver at the track. The win also marked Toyota’s 600th victory in NASCAR as a manufacturer.
Denny Hamlin received quite the welcome as he flew back home from his record-breaking win at Long Pond, Pennsylvania in his $6.5 million private jet.

Hamlin has had a long and successful career in NASCAR, and he’s still going strong. Being amongst some of the oldest drivers on the grid with a career spanning almost 2 decades, it’s no surprise that he has made a ton of money throughout his career. His current net worth is estimated to be somewhere around $50 Million.
Hamlin shared a story 0n his Instagram of his arrival back home in his $6.5 million private jet. He received an overwhelming welcome as his friends showered him with Champagne as they screamed “50 BABY”.

While there are many in the NASCAR community that are happy for Hamlin reached the magic number 50, there are others who have not taken well to the way he won the race. And the comments section on his post reflected this pretty squarely.

“Every single time I start to like you, you pull some sh*t like you did yesterday. Why man, why?” one fan said.
While another showed his support, “Congrats Denny. Let the haters hate.”
“Classless. Starting to show it’s the only way you know how to win at Pocono. Lost a huge amount of respect. Don’t be surprised when they start racing you like that with less than 10 to go. And you made contact too. That’s what has everyone pi*sed. You just aren’t owning what you did. “I gave him a lane”, yeah, outside of the clear racing grooves when you ran him high. Hack.”
