Kaulig Racing has announced the return of Celsius Essential Energy as their partner for the 2024 NASCAR season. This deal will see Celsius serving as the primary sponsor for A.J. Allmendinger in both the NASCAR Cup Series and the Xfinity Series. Celsius will also remain Kaulig Racing’s official energy drink partner, a role they have served since 2021.
In 2023, Allmendinger helped Celsius earn their first win as the primary sponsor in both the Xfinity Series (Circuit of the Americas) and the Cup Series (Charlotte Roval). With the new deal in place, Allmendinger will enter the running at the Daytona 500 in the No.16 Celsius Camaro ZL1. The remainder of the schedule with Celsius as the primary sponsor will be announced soon.

Kaulig Racing President, Chris Rice in a statement said, “CELSIUS has always been important to everyone at Kaulig Racing. We encourage all our employees to take time for their health and fitness, and having a long-time partner that not only encourages the same but aids our employees in doing so, is awesome. It means a lot to us to continue this partnership as we go into our ninth season with CELSIUS.”
While Allmendinger is also excited about the renewed partnership. He said, “I’m excited about our continued partnership with CELSIUS. To see the growth of CELSIUS, ever since I joined the team in 2019, has been really special.” The veteran driver will be running a full-time schedule in the Xfinity Series along with a few Cup races, the Daytona 500 being one of them.
The 2023 Cup Series was not exactly a dream run for the 42-year-old, with it being his first full-time Cup Series schedule after 2018. The win at Charlotte Roval was a big highlight of his season but he had to be content with a 21st-place finish, missing out on the playoffs. Kaulig certainly has different plans in the Cup Series as they moved Allmendinger to a full-time commitment in the Xfinity Series.

Shane van Gisbergen is the name that is quickly gaining traction in NASCAR circuits. Having made his Cup series debut last year with Trackhouse Racing, he will now run a full-time schedule with Kaulig in the Xfinity Series. The Kiwi driver has already etched his name in history books for being the first New Zealander to win a Cup race, which came at Chicago street course in 2023.
Van Gisbergen is a part of the Project91 program under Trackhouse Racing and the switch to Xfinity has been possible because of the partnership between Kaulig and Trackhouse Racing. The 34-year-old will be driving the N0.97 Chevrolet Camaro with Kaulig Racing. The big challenge for the driver will be the double header season opener at Daytona International Speedway, as he will also feature in the ARCA Menards Series for 2024.
