One of the teams that will be racing in the 2024 CARS Tour is Jimmy Mooring Racing, with Landon Huffman behind the wheel. The 27-year-old has won accolades in motorsports and one of his recent achievements was winning the 2023 Old North State Nationals. But he doesn’t do all of his racing on track.

Huffman is an avid sim racer, and he was supposed to take part in the Mooncar 24, a sim racing event. But, as per him, his team of racers came apart at the last moment, and he blamed Brenden Queen and Dylon Wilson for bad scheduling. Thankfully, he managed to land the services of Dale Earnhardt Jr for the event.

But as it turns out, Dylon Wilson was scheduled to race the next day and the whole confusion set off a thread of comments among the two, which even cracked Dale Earnhardt Jr up.

“Tf you talking about I’m scheduled to race tomorrow. You signed me up with me letting you know clearly it’s deer season, and I’ll be hunting,” Wilson replied to Huffman’s original supposed allegations.

As Junior saw this, he jokingly took a shot at Huffman, saying, “It’s been hard for Landon to maintain focus lately with his diecast existing and all,”

To this, Huffman wrote back, “Trying to figure out how to get a plushie car now,” which left Junior laughing.

The whole conversation was a huge source of entertainment for racing fans who expressed their feelings on Twitter.

One fan made a sarcastic comment, stating two-time Xfinity Champion Dale Earnhardt Jr was just an okay replacement. “Semi-decent replacement,” they commented.

One fan believed that it was better to have someone behind the wheel rather than no one, while another fan made a rather wild claim about going to a sim driver’s house at 4 am and taking over their whole rig as a replacement.

“Scraping up an inexperienced Mooncar Lite level driver is better than nothing I guess,” one user commented.

“Soooo can I just like show up at someone’s house and take over their rig as a relief driver at 4am tonight?” asked another.

There was, of course, a lot of love for Dale Earnhardt Jr as well as one user pegged him to win the whole event. “Dale Jr is a man of the people and awesome and he will win the mooncar 24,” they commented.

Another user offered their own driving services for the Mooncar 24, if required. “If yall need a hand,” they tweeted.
