Tricon Garage today announced that CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car sensation Brenden Queen will make his NASCAR Truck Series debut at North Wilkesboro Speedway on May 18. The 25-year-old diver will be piloting the No. 1 Toyota Tundra Pro, sponsored by Best Repair.

In doing so, Brenden ‘Butterbean’ Queen will be pulling double duty on the historic 0.625-mile short track at North Wilkesboro. Apart from his debut in the Craftsman Truck Series, he will also run the CARS Tour Late Model Stock Car event. Queen does not have any prior experience in NASCAR’s national series. He does have an ARCA Series start to his name, racing at Daytona International Speedway back in 2019.

The famous victory dance of Brenden Queen can very well make its way to NASCAR races. After years of hard work and perseverance, Queen has finally gotten his shot at making his name in the NASCAR scene. After missing out on the championship win on the CARS tour last season, he is excited and geared up for the upcoming season.

Speaking to Matt Weaver from Sportsnaut, Brenden Queen said, “I came out this morning I’d be making my Craftsman Truck Series debut with Tricon Garage and Toyota Racing with the number 1 Toyota Tundra at North Wilkesboro. For me, I’ve been waiting since I was six years old and never knew the day would come, but damn, what a Friday morning it’s been, and not only did I get the announcement, but I got to come play in the late model today.”

Driving the No. 1 Toyota Tundra TRD, Brenden Queen will be joining the likes of Toni Breidinger, Colby Howard, William Sawalich, and Christopher Bell, who all have piloted this ride in the past. Queen’s debut run in the Truck Series will be supervised by veteran crew chief Seth Smith.

Brenden Queen scored perhaps the biggest win of his career last season, competing in the CARS Tours Late Model Stock Car event at North Wilkesboro Speedway. He cruised past the competition and took home the win, piping Ryan Millington, who came in second. In doing so, he managed to outclass many of the big NASCAR Cup drivers competing at the event. The likes of Chase Briscoe, Kevin Harvick, Brad Keselowski, Daniel Suarez, Ross Chastain, and even Dale Earnhardt Jr weren’t able to give stiff competition to Queen.

Crediting his NASCAR debut opportunity to this very event, he added, “The reason I ran tours last year was that I had accomplished a lot running Langley in my own car, and I had the opportunity to come race with the best, and if I didn’t do that last year, what’s to say, my truck announcement happened today? I think that’s a big part of our performance last year in this series put me on the map, and what better track to go running the truck than the one that put me on the map?

Moving forward this season, apart from making his NASCAR debut with Tricon Garage, Green is also geared up to make amends after not being able to win the CARS Tour championship last season.
