Jade Avedisian made history this past week when she became the inaugural champion of the Fab Four Championship. The 17-year-old has made massive inroads into the world of American motorsports this year and her form would suggest that she is just getting started. For the Fab Four Championship, the focus will be on making the competition more exciting in 2024 and Car IQ’s CEO recently shed some light on the matter.

The Fab Four, which has Car IQ as one of its sponsors, is an all-female motorsports competition that features circle-track racing. The cross-competition event saw drivers from across the USAC test their race craft and experience against one another. The competition winner, Jade Avedisian, took home a cheque of $10,000 and an invitation to an advanced series test session with the Porsche Cup team, MDK Motorsports.

The first season of the Fab Four can be classified as a success. Jade Avedisian’s popularity has seen huge growth thanks to her clinching that championship title and things are already looking really good for her. To that end, Car IQ CEO Sterling Pratz shared an update for fans who will be waiting with bated breath for the 2024 edition of the championship.

“We get a lot of feedback and the fans seem to like it a lot. Now we’re just working on what’s the next program for Fab Four. So next year we want to expand it. We think we want to go into quarter-midget racing, help the girls on the ladder system to come up the system like Jade did, and have more competition next year,” Pratz said after the conclusion of the championship.

Bringing in quarter-midget racing into the fray would definitely be intriguing and pull in a lot of new fans. It would also help the racers gain more experience in a different form of racing, which would ultimately help them in climbing up the ranks and into the big leagues. It would be interesting to see how the organizers incorporate quarter-midget racing next season.

Jade Avedisian, however, already seems to be climbing the ladder to the big leagues. She became the first female racer to win the Xtreme Outlaw Midget Series title at I-44 Riverside Speedway. The 17-year-old was also named Rookie of the Year in the Chilli Bowl Nationals. Thanks to her recent success, Avedisian has signed a contract with motorsports heavyweights, Toyota.

The 17-year-old driver will be part of Toyota’s development program and will definitely get a ton of opportunities to race in higher divisions. It wouldn’t come as a surprise if Jade Avedisian races part-time in the Truck Series next season if she shows that she is worth making the investment for. The driver herself is excited about the opportunity and is raring to go.

“I’m excited to spend the next few years with them [Toyota]. We still keep the same goals though. We still need to go win races and lead as many laps as we can. But to know that I’m in a contract, it’s obviously a big dream come true as well,” Avedisian said.
