Despite an impressive “podium” finish at the Clash, Kyle Busch wouldn’t have wanted his 2023 season to begin the way it did. Of course, he would’ve wanted to win in the LA Coliseum instead of the 3rd place finish. But of late, there has been a dark cloud hovering above the #8 driver.

That thing is Busch’s gun incident in Mexico.

The whole thing has been resolved now with NASCAR also revealing that there’d be no further penalties or punishment for the Richard Childress Racing driver.

Fans react to NASCAR potentially going to Mexico

While going to Mexico to host a NASCAR Cup race might turn out to be a good decision on all fronts, fans still couldn’t help but pull Kyle Busch’s leg as they reacted to this report.

Many jokingly commented how Busch won’t be able to race in Mexico or how he’ll be putting on a false identity to do so.

Kyle Busch had apologized for his “mistake” in Mexico

After the reports surfaced of what happened in Mexico, Kyle Busch took to social media to post his thoughts and his clarifications on how things stand with him.

As reported by ESPN, Busch wrote, “Discovery of the handgun led to my detainment while the situation was resolved. I was not aware of Mexican law and had no intention of bringing a handgun into Mexico.
