Undoubtedly, Kyle Busch is one of the most celebrated drivers in the history of NASCAR. With more than 200 victories across all the formats of NASCAR, the 2x Cup Series champion has proved all the traits that are required to make his name in the elite series. Starting his career early and slowly rising up to the ranks, Kyle Busch’s experience as a racer is worth recognizing. But as a driver, who is well passed his prime, is still out and dominating the tracks most of the weekends. However, the question that arises will his 8-year-old son Brexton Busch, a budding driver will live up to the name of his racing family.

Brexton’s father has full faith in his son that he will carry on the legacy, even though, initially, the kart driver was oblivious to motorsports. Kyle Busch confessed in his interview with GO Track Hopper.

The expression, like father like son, can be assuredly used to describe the bond between Kyle and his son Brexton. While Kyle Busch is already an established name in the world of stock car racing and is just steps away to be inducted into the Hall of Fame, to reach the heights of his father, little Busch has a long road ahead of him.

With champion father and uncle [Kurt Busch], motorsports run deep in the veins of Brexton Busch. Although the budding driver did not portray his interest in racing initially, it was not long before the racing bug bit him. Even his father agrees with this fact.

In a conversation with GO Track Hopper, the Richard Childress Racing Driver, acknowledged, “It’s been fun you know. I didn’t think we would start racing this early, I didn’t think we would start racing at all when he was four-five years old. Kind of wasn’t a lot of interested in it really.”

“But then a switch flipped and he was all about it watching the races on Sunday and asking me questions about it afterward, and we went to the go-kart tracks he liked it.”

“We put him in a car, and he liked it so, all of it kind of came on really quick and he has really poured everything into it now, and enjoys going to the track and running his go-karts and Bandoleros, his junior sprints whatever we run.”

“Just the effort that he is able to put in and the amount of races that we run and his enjoyment of it, we will keep doing it, that’s pretty cool,” papa Busch revealed.

While there is still a decade left before the young champion makes his debut in one of the biggest stages of motorsports, following his father’s footsteps, Brexton is surely exhibiting the early signs of being a young prodigy through his racing skills. This was evident in the video posted on Brexton’s YouTube channel.

In the 38th episode, titled, “Talladega 23” the budding driver showed off his skills on the tracks of Talladega, ahead of his father’s stint on the same track. Junior Busch ran in the Junior Honda midget racing, while his father later went on to win on the same track in the Cup Series.

Dad Busch, who still has years left in his racing career and victories to earn, makes sure that his son gets all the experience to hone his skills and make him a chiseled driver like him or better than him. And perhaps if the Cup Series champion chooses to stay on the track for a bit more time, then perhaps fans will be able to witness the father-son competing with each other on the tracks.
