Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg’s rivalry spans many years and multiple topics, from AI to rockets. But now the feud has risen again owing to the launch of Meta’s new app, “Threads.” After Elon Musk spent the last weekend enraging Twitter users with some more sweeping modifications to the social media behemoth, his archrival in the digital world, Mark Zuckerberg, is gearing up to launch a competing app.
The parent company of Facebook has listed “Threads,” an Instagram app, in the app stores for release during the first week of July 2023. What has gotten people talking this week, however, is Bubba Wallace’s wife Amanda’s threat to find a replacement for the practice of “tweeting” with “threading.”

Amanda Wallace, the wife of Bubba Wallace, just joined the fray by trying out “Threads” with the post “Do we call this threading?”
It could be taken as proof that even people from the NASCAR community have begun using the Meta app, maybe as a form of resistance to Elon Musk’s radical reforms.
Reading Amanda’s thread, fans continued the conversation. They said:
“That’s what I’m going with”
“Is threading the new trending?” To which, Amanda replied, “Ohhh I like that though”
“We need to get @bubbawallace Threading thru the field this weekend 🤪🤪”
“Right!! But what if someone is mean threading! Is it called threading the needle? Lol corny I know”

If the debut of Threads coincides with a promise from Meta to actively reduce the dissemination of disinformation, some experts believe that Meta might grab major consumer engagement and advertising budgets from Twitter. Some aren’t convinced and consider the Meta brand to be less professional than the Twitter brand.

And that is why famous people on Twitter may think twice about inviting their followers to switch to Threads because of the risk that many of them won’t. The list includes people like Bubba Wallace, Ross Chastain, and Denny Hamlin, all of whom have spent years maintaining their profiles on Twitter.
Besides, many NASCAR, F1, and other sports fans are still active on Twitter, and it would be challenging to convince them to switch to another network. However, ever since their favorite personalities like Amanda Wallace, who have already made the transition, may help encourage their fans to give “Threads” a go.
However, if recent news is anything to go by, it seems that Meta’s newly launched Threads app has already hit the ground running, with a whopping thirty million users signing up on its first day. The impressive feat was revealed by none other than the company’s chief executive, Mark Zuckerberg.
