Amanda Wallace admits her struggles
Since their high school days, Amanda and Bubba Wallace have been a support system for each other. However, they are currently navigating one of the most transformative phases of their lives. Since their baby’s birth in September 2024, the couple has been experiencing a lot of mixed emotions. The joy of parenthood comes with a lot of challenges. In one of her recent Instagram stories, Amanda took a moment to acknowledge the everyday struggles of motherhood.
She shared a post from @brynnhunte which had a message for mothers; “Shout out to mamas getting on that plane, braving the messy activities, and going outside to play. It’s exhausting. But how lucky are our babies to have these memories and the magic that will stay with them forever.” This heartfelt note about motherhood struck a chord with many. It also reflects on Amanda’s own journey to motherhood.
Notably, Amanda’s pregnancy was far from smooth sailing. She faced multiple complications, including the daunting task of delivering a baby with a large head. However, she humorously shared it with fans taunting his husband. “Y’all please keep me in your prayers. Doctor said the baby’s head is measuring pretty big. I guess I shouldn’t be surprised because this is my husband,” she had shared during her pregnancy.

Following the birth, Bubba and Amanda both took on the challenges head-on. Lucky for the couple, the off-season was just a few weeks away, meaning more time for them to spend together as a family. It also meant baby Becks got his first taste of Christmas, as the family headed to Aspen for Ryan Blaney’s wedding, and then to the Big Apple for a Christmas vacation. While young Becks may have gotten fussy at certain points, especially during the night as Amanda wrote in an Instagram post, both parents are taking to parenthood quite well.
While Amanda navigates the challenges of motherhood, her husband, Bubba Wallace, has undergone his transformation. Known for his prowess on the racetrack, Bubba now juggles his career with his role as a father. “It takes a little bit more time. I say add 15 minutes to what you previously would do—you’re going to be 15 minutes late. You know, that’s OK. You got a pretty damn good excuse. Marriage came. That was a great head-to-head thereof showing up to be the best husband you can be and provide for your family. Then, well, now you got a little one here. Racing comes second now,” he had said.

Despite the joy of parenthood, the 23XI Racing driver has not had a satisfactory professional season. While his teammate Tyler Reddick thrived with two wins and a Championship 4 appearance, Bubba struggled to maintain consistency. Despite some solid results, including 14 top-10 finishes and six top-5s, Wallace failed to convert these into victories. With his last win in 2022 at Kansas he extended his winless streak to 43 races raising scrutiny.

As Wallace enters his fourth season with 23XI Racing, his future with the team seems closely tied to his ability to win races. NASCAR veteran Larry McReynolds has pointed out the mounting pressure on Wallace, stating, “This is a pretty critical year for Bubba Wallace.” With just two wins in 255 career starts, Wallace needs to step up and deliver results in 2025. The challenge within the team is even going to increase for Wallace with a new member joining the squad.
In 2025, 23XI Racing will expand to a three-car operation. The new charter bought from Stewart-Haas Racing will be driven by Xfinity star Riley Herbst. He will graduate to Cup Series after having a brilliant run last year. He won two races and finished a career-best seventh in points. Meanwhile, Herbst’s Monster sponsorship and his impressive results make him a valuable addition to the team. With increasing challenges, Bubba Wallace will need to have a brilliant run in the upcoming season.
