Denny Hamlin and Michael Jordan’s team 23XI Racing is going through a mixed bag of feelings at the moment. On one hand, Tyler Reddick became the regular season champion, but on the other, their driver, Bubba Wallace, missed out on his chance to compete in the playoffs. Darlington was Bubba Wallace’s last chance to make it into the playoffs, and despite him being a front-runner for most of the race, the last stage was where he took a hit.
Bubba Wallace finished P16, scoring 32 points because of his performance during the first two stages. However, that was not enough to put him into the playoffs, as Chase Briscoe won the Darlington race, which gave him the green light into the top 16. Now it’s obvious that Bubba Wallace is not happy with the outcome of the season, and to make his mood a little better, his wife, Amanda, tries to keep his morale up.

After the Darlington race, it was clear that Bubba Wallace was distraught. It was visible as he was getting out of the car once the race was done. A picture of an unhappy Wallace was shared on Instagram where the driver was holding his head as he sat in the window of his car. The post was captioned, “The things you want more, cost more,” and many fans started to share their support for him.
But no support was as great as the one that he got from his wife Amanda. Mrs. Wallace shared the post on her Instagram story, where he captioned the post, “Really tough night, really proud of my husband, been a hard-fought regular season, will still be hunting for wins this year, but this just hurts.“
With this, Amanda assures fans that despite this season’s Cup Series championship being out of reach, Wallace will be found racing in other motorsports events to bag the wins that he missed out on in NASCAR.
Although this is the end of the Cup Series season for Bubba Wallace, it won’t stop him from racing. As of now, there is no news on his contract extension after the team claimed that he signed a multi-year contract with the team back in 2022, so now what remains to be seen is if the No. 23 Chevy will continue to have Wallace behind the wheel.
But what exactly happened that led to Bubba Wallace losing his pace in the race?

Bubba Wallace was doing quite well at the Cook Out Southern 500, but with just 23 laps left in the race, there was a huge wreck. The No. 23 driver started the race at pole position, but over the course of the race, he lost his position. Kyle Larson took on Wallace, but everything came crashing down during the final stage of the race.
Wallace fell short of 27 points when it came to the playoffs and after he lost the race, he spoke during the post-race interview. That’s where he reflected on the race, saying, “Tomorrow is Labor Day, right? I got to sit and dwell on it. Hopefully no meetings.”

Chris Buescher, who finished sixth, was the first driver out of the playoffs, missing by six points. The final playoff spots went to Ty Gibbs and Martin Truex Jr. Considering that, do you think that Bubba Wallace will continue with 23XI Racing beyond this season?
