Bubba Wallace ran a strong race at Darlington. Having to endure the ever-intense playoff bubble battle to cement a place in the final 16, Bubba had a solid P7 finish in his first attempt at a playoff race. Banking on a good display in the first weekend of the season’s most grueling phase, he will hope to bank on it to move ahead in the series.

With Kansas next on the schedule, 23XI Racing has been preparing its cars for the big showdown. One of the biggest crowd pullers at Kansas will undoubtedly be the latest color scheme for the #23 Toyota Camry, which the team has revealed in a recent announcement.

A look at the #23 Camry’s latest color scheme reminds one of the style and fashion quotient the team’s co-owner, Michael Jordan, adds. His brand has produced numerous incredible and eye-catching designs through a collaboration with Nike, and the combination of black and gold has been a mantra of success for them.

Bubba’s upcoming paint scheme was revealed by the 23XI Racing official Instagram handle, as they posted, “@BubbaWallace and @23xiracing look to bring the heat to Kansas Speedway this Sunday in the bold and gold Columbia Omni-HeatTM Infinity No. 23 Toyota Camry TRD.”

Instead of the regular primary sponsor for Bubba, which is McDonald’s, Columbia Omni-HeatTM will feature on the car. A lovely hint of detail on the chassis adds a classy look to the car. But unless Bubba Wallace manages to deliver the goods for the occasion, just the paint scheme won’t amount to much.

The #23 gold and black paint scheme has mostly received a positive response from the community. Fans have expressed their delight at the opportunity to see a glorious design in action at the Kansas Speedway. Some fans have taken their opinions to public forums on Reddit. While some of the fans couldn’t wait to see the car get going, others didn’t find it as interesting as it looked.

“There’s two things I love in this world: Purple cars, and black n’ gold cars Oh yeah and NASCAR, woo NASCAR So that’s three things, uh, s**t” commented a fan, revealing his preference for purple paint schemes at the same time.

“This scheme deserves a better outcome than it got in Texas in 2021. No better place to make it happen.” commented another fan, bringing back memories of the largest crash in Texas Motor Speedway’s history involving Bubba Wallace in a similar paint scheme.
