Bubba Wallace’s Spotter Freddie Kraft Sheds Light on the NASCAR Stats That Back Up Kyle Busch Claim About Alex Bowman

At the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Kyle Busch came close to pulling off an epic comeback. Unfortunately, a better strategy from Alex Bowman and Hendrick Motorsports denied him a home win. In the immediate aftermath, a bitterly disappointed Busch fumed, “The same f***ing guy who backs into every f***ing win that he ever f***ing gets. Backs into another f***ing win. Bullsh*t!”

Although he did calm down afterward and had a civil conversation with Bowman, some analyzed the rant. Bubba Wallace’s spotter Freddie Kraft said, “Bowman’s got five wins now. Four of the five, he’s led less than 20 laps in the race. 16 twice, 16 yesterday, 16 at Pocono last year, 9 at Martinsville and 10 at Richmond. His four wins there, he literally led 98 laps at Dover when he won there. So there is some merit to what Kyle is saying about him. He’s not gone out and dominated, aside from that Dover race, if you want to call 98 laps dominating. Just because he ended up in a fortuitous situation, he’s still got to capitalise on it.”

What next for Kyle Busch and Alex Bowman?

For now, all that the Joe Gibbs Racing driver can do is forget about this race and focus on the next one. He cannot dwell on what could have been but will aim to bounce back from the loss. Considering that he started last and finished 4th, he definitely had the pace to win. It’s just that he simply ran out of laps to try and catch the Hendrick Motorsports cars.

Still, 4th place is not so bad, since he was the best of the Toyotas and he managed to beat Aric Almirola, the highest Ford. This weekend though, Busch and the rest of the Cup Series drivers head to the Phoenix Raceway. Kyle Busch has won this race twice for Joe Gibbs Racing, and a third time with Hendrick Motorsports. So, he could be in with a shout for a fourth win at the speedway.
