It was a fairly dark day for the entire wrestling world. This is because, Hall of Famer, Scott Hall, tragically passed away at the age of 63. Naturally, there was an outpour of tributes to the late wrestler, despite his chequered past. Among the many mourners was Freddie Kraft, spotter for 23XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace.
Kraft actually paid a touching tribute to the late wrestler with a poignant message. He said, “Hard work pays off, dreams come true. Bad times don’t last, but bad guys do”. When several fans reacted to the message, some were surprised that people did not bring up his spotty past.

According to reports, the 63-year-old suffered from three heart attacks. All of this stemmed from a surgical complication during hip surgery. His former friend and tag-team partner, Kevin Nash, confirmed that he was on life support for a while. Later on, on Monday, the former wrestler was taken off life support and waited for the inevitable.
What now for Bubba Wallace and Freddie Kraft in the Cup Series?
For now, all that anyone in the NASCAR community can do is pay their respects to the wrestling legend. After that, the African-American driver knows that he will have to get back on the grind. This is because the Cup Series paddock heads to the Atlanta Motor Speedway this weekend. So far, Wallace has had an up and down season, with the best finish of 2nd at the Daytona 500.

Although he was disappointed to be tantalisingly close to the win, it must have given the team hope. To be precise, it would have confirmed that the 23XI Racing team had the pace to be a Playoff threat. Furthermore, his teammate Kurt Busch, is also performing fairly decently for the 1-year-old team. Without a doubt, Denny Hamlin and co-owner Michael Jordan would have thought that they struck gold with this line-up.
