NASCAR Spotter Freddie Kraft was recently asked about how he would tackle the confusion now that Bubba Wallace would be driving the 45 instead of the #23. The question was intended as a double-edged sword, where the interviewer wanted to know both if he was to remain as Wallace’s spotter and how would he cope with the number swap.

Kraft was quick to catch onto the interviewer’s question and responded in a light-hearted tone stating, “Hopefully, just a couple of minutes of practice. Yeah, it’ll be tricky when you start bobbing around looking for the #23 and #45. It’s easy to get confused but hopefully, I pick it up pretty quick.”

Following Kraft’s answer, one thing was for sure, he would continue to be the spotter for Bubba Wallace. It was recently revealed that Wallace would be swapping from the #23 car to Kurt Busch’s #45 car, as Kurt Busch would not be able to race in the first few round of the playoffs. Moreover, this would enable the Michael Jordan co-owned, 23XI racing team to compete for the owner’s championship since the #45 had won a race earlier in the season.

A little while ago it was announced that Wallace would be driving the number 45 car to compete in the owner’s playoffs. Since Kurt Busch had won a race in that car earlier this season, it made the car eligible to be fighting for the owner’s playoff. Wallace who himself had not been able to make it into the driver’s playoff, will now have another shot at an attempt to win at least one race this season.
