Life presents unexpected challenges when a new member arrives. Amanda and Bubba Wallace became parents for the very first time this September, and since then, their little boy has been the center of the universe. “You know, racing comes second now,” Wallace said, reflecting on the changes that this baby has brought in his life.
Recently, Amanda Wallace took to her Instagram to share how she felt about this new phase in her life. The Wallaces are often seen taking to their social media and sharing anecdotes of the perils that parenthood brings.

Amanda and Bubba Wallace have been sweethearts since their high school days. The couple started dating in 2015 and they ended up tying the knot in 2021. However, it was in September of 2024 that Amanda Wallace gave birth to their precious baby boy. The entry of Becks Hayden has been joyous but not without the expected parental challenges.
Recently, Bubba Wallace’s close friend and colleague, Ryan Blaney got married to Giana Tulio. Given how close Blaney and Wallace are, the Wallace family had to travel to ensure that they could be beside Blaney on his special day. The beautiful wedding took place at Hotel Jerome in Aspen, Colorado. While it seemed from Amanda’s stories that she was having a gala time, she opened up about how difficult it is to travel with newborn babies.
She took to her Instagram stories and shared a screenshot of her recovery metrics which focused on her sleep pattern. It showed that on Sunday, she had been able to go for 81% recovery which means she had a good sleep. She posted, “Traveling with a newborn. One night at home and I’m almost back to feeling human, Lolol”. Traveling with a newborn indeed brings forth tons of challenges, matching the schedule being the most important one. Amanda, too was struggling through them as the family attended the wedding.
Not only Amanda, but even Bubba Wallace has been very vocal about how he feels about this transition from a racer to a father. The 2024 season was average for Wallace as he finished 18th in the driver’s championship with fourteen Top 10s, six Top 5s, and one pole position. However, he shared that his priorities had shifted ever since becoming a father. “For the last… 22 years, it’s been all racing. Marriage came, that was a great head-to-head there of, you know, showing up to be the best husband you can be and provide for your family then. Well, now you got a little one here.” Children take precedence over everything for Wallace. However, despite his busy duties as a father, Wallace made it to his best friend’s wedding and shared a lighthearted moment before the big day.

The Wallace family had been having a gala time at Blaney’s wedding and fans are often able to get a sneak peek into the same. Being married for almost 10 years now, Wallace does have some pearls of wisdom. In a humorous post, Wallace recently shared how he felt ecstatic to spend moments and be a part of the Blaney Tulio wedding. After Blaney proposed to Tulio last December, fans had been wondering when the two would get married. And it’s no surprise they chose to do it on 12/12.
As his dear friend embarks on a new journey, Wallace says, “Opened the 12, for the 12, on the 12th, of the 12th, in the 12th. Cheers to the 12”. The photo sported Wallace enjoying a drink with the groom himself and three others. Getting married is one of the biggest events and when you embark on this journey with the love of your life, it is even more special.

The number 12 here has a special connotation. Presumably, he means that the drink is from the year 2012, for Blaney, who drives the No. 12 car, on 12th December. Maybe the number is a lucky one for the 2023 Cup Series championship winner, who hasn’t finished lower than second in the drivers standing in the last two years. Well, as Blaney turns a new page in his book, his best friend remains by his side, reveling in his success.
