At the Dover International Speedway, Bubba Wallace endured a bad day in the office. Apparently, he had been running well for a while, after starting in the Top 10. Unfortunately, as the race progressed, his car began to feel very loose. As a result, he was forced to spend the rest of the race just wrestling the car.

According to crew chief Bootie Barker, the #23 car’s sway bar link broke. Owing to that, the car began to become a real handful. On the bright side, Wallace was somehow able to salvage a 16th-place finish. Speaking about his race on Twitter, he acknowledged that having a loose car at Dover was not good at all.

So far, Wallace has not been enjoying such a great season. There were many times when he was so close, yet so far from a Cup win. After a fine 2nd place at the Daytona 500, the African-American driver has not managed to breach the Top 10 at all since then.

Truthfully speaking, he got extremely unlucky at the Dover International Speedway. Now, he will be hoping that he can turn his fortune around at the next race at Darlington. Though if we’re being honest, Darlington could be a bit of a tough ask, especially since Wallace excels on superspeedways.

Fortunately for him, there are still a couple of superspeedways on the calendar. This includes the Daytona International Speedway, which will host the Coke Zero Sugar 400.

While he may excel at superspeedways, Bubba Wallace will want to prove that he can perform well at other race tracks. If he can somehow sneak in a win at one of the next few races, he will confirm a Playoff berth.
