NASCAR drivers are extremely busy during the season—they are up to their necks in either a race event or in preparation for one. While that provides great entertainment for fans, that leaves their personal lives unfulfilled. That’s why they like to make the most of the off-season.
The off-season is when most drivers tend to make up for all the lost time. That might include spending time with their family and going on trips—the way Kyle Larson chooses to do. Or it may include starting a new phase of life and marrying the love of their life. Bubba Wallace did it earlier this year, and now Rico Abreu has too.
Abreu, a specialist in dirt racing and sprint car racing, announced his engagement with his girlfriend of 10 years. The former Truck Series driver for NTS Motorsports and ThorSport Racing made the announcement via an Instagram post.

In the post, Abreu proposes to his girlfriend, Meagan Droud. The post is captioned: “10 years later I asked her to be my wife! I love you @meagan_droud.” It was an adorable gesture, with some really beautiful pictures. His announcement brought smiles to many around the world and in NASCAR.
Bubba Wallace was among the first to wish the NASCAR driver
Wallace definitely understands the happiness that Abreu must have been feeling. The 23XI Racing driver had been wanting to marry his girlfriend, Amanda Carter, for a while before they finally did it this year.
