Making it past the regular season for the first time, the 2023 season was a breakout year for Bubba Wallace. Though the 23XI driver was struck down with a series of dull performances in the initial phase of the season, low on morale, he still managed to bounce back quite well and make it into the playoff rounds, proving to the world that he is more than just a pawn in the game.

Coming to the recent happenings, Bubba Wallace a few hours ago took a stiff jab at his former rival, Kyle Larson, reminding the Hendrick Motorsports driver of the 2020 demons as he effortlessly retweeted the post with a sly twist.

Now, Bubba Wallace and Kyle Larson have a history together. Both are two of the most talented drivers on the grid. Back in 2020, when Larson was still a budding young Cup Series driver, he was an active iRacing driver for Chip Ganassi Racing when he got evicted from the team.

During an iRacing event, Kyle Larson appeared to have lost communication with his spotter on the headset and checked for it, asking, “You can’t hear me?” However, this was followed by the N-word, which took the community by surprise. This forced his then-boss, Chip Ganassi, to fire Larson, saying, “After much consideration, Chip Ganassi Racing has determined that it will end its relationship with driver Kyle Larson. As we said before, the comments that Kyle made were both offensive and unacceptable, especially given the values of our organization.”

The driver, on the other hand, addressed his wrongdoing, being vocal and regretful about his inappropriate action. To everybody’s surprise, Kyle Larson, who got brutally fired from CGR, went straight to the HMS camp, where he won the title the next year, issuing a strong statement and proving that he is more than just a sloppy tongue slip.

A few hours ago, Bubba Wallace subtly reminded Kyle Larson of the 2020 misery when he retweeted the #5 driver’s tweet that read, “Who would be generous enough to donate some fast @iRacing setups? I’m slow, so need all the help I can get. (Queue up the jokes; I’m sure I know which ones are coming…)

Wallace, who got into a brief altercation with Larson last year in Las Vegas, shoving him off the track, quickly jumped onto the scene and made sure he did not let go of this opportunity, throwing a sly one: “2025 Cup Champion right here,” indirectly reminding him of his past demons.
