Aspiring NASCAR driver, Stefan Parsons today announced that he will be running a partial schedule with Henderson Motorsports in the 2024 Craftsman Truck Series. The 25-year-old will be the man behind the wheel of the No. 75 Chevrolet Silverado. Upon making the announcement official on X, the young racer was lauded online by fans. However, the one that stood out was Bubba Wallace’s message to the young driver on his move.
Wallace in reply to his post on X, was hyped up and wrote, “Hell Yeah, Nice!!” To which Parsons replied, “Thank you sir 👊🏼”. Wallace has a reputation of being omnipresent on social media handles and so was the case with Parsons’ announcement. However, he has also been busy with his preparations for the upcoming season with his teammates.

Parsons is known to be a hardworking race car driver but he has been looking for that one opportunity that makes it all worthwhile. On the back of his hard work and passion for racing, the 25-year-old now has a part-time but still huge opportunity with Henderson Motorsports with Food Country USA acting as his sponsor. Bubba Wallace knows a thing or two about getting a breakthrough and therefore when the young racer announced X, he was quick to send out his best wishes and words of encouragement in typical Bubba Wallace style.
Apart from being active online, Bubba Wallace has been focusing on his preparations ahead of the start of the 2024 Cup Series. The 30-year-old will be competing at the Michelin Pilot Challenge on January 26 at Daytona. He will be teaming up with John Hunter Nemechek and Corey Heim, the trio of Toyota racing drivers who will control Smooge Racing’s Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVOs for the four-hour endurance race.
This will be the first time that all three drivers are trying their hands on new sports cars. With four NASCAR races this season scheduled to be on road courses, running laps behind the wheel of the sports car will prepare them for the tests ahead. Usually, NASCAR drivers stray away from racing on different circuits and series but there has been a change in this trend with Kyle Larson leading the charge.

Back in 2022, Stefan was racing under BJ McLeod Motorsports in the Xfinity Series when he paid homage to his father Phil Parsons. Remembering his old man Phil’s NASCAR Cup win on May 1, 1998, at Talladega, Stefan piloted the No.99 SOKAL/Circle B Diecast Chevrolet that sported paint schemes from his father’s Talladega Win.
Stefan Parsons has competed in 65 NASCAR National Series events throughout his career. The young racer has 11 starts in the Craftsman Truck Series, including the three he had in the 2023 season. Although he will be hoping to better his career-best finish of 17th that came back in 2018 at Bristol.

With a new team, Parsons will be hoping to get more lap time and more racing opportunities to showcase his true character and skills. A positive run of results can lead to the opening of a bigger door for Stefan Parsons, and maybe a full-time schedule could be well within his grasp. For now, he will be encouraged by the wishes of a Cup Series star in Bubba Wallace.
