During the interview, Wallace explained, “I think we were able to go and attend a go-kart race. A very underground race not many people there but we were one of the few in the stands and watching kids my age race go-karts and looked like they were having a lot of fun and obviously winning and being successful.”
He added, “Me and my dad were sitting there and he asked ‘hey you wanna try this? I said yeah sure why not. You know we were able to go out and buy a go-kart the next weekend and we went racing. But honestly, that was when I was nine. It took me about seven to eight years to kinda realize like, hey this is the path that I could stay on and make a living out of.”
He went on to say that before this he did not know what would be the next thing for him. Wallace and his father would keep traveling all over to find better competitions and racetracks.
