In the Race: Bubba Wallace docuseries on Netflix, the 23XI Racing driver spoke about the race in Atlanta. Over here, he spoke about a coined NASCAR term called ‘Harvicking’. Obviously, it was named after Stewart Haas Racing driver Kevin Harvick, who is undoubtedly one of the best drivers at this race.
Wallace said, “Kevin Harvick is notoriously good at Atlanta. The way that that track is built and shaped, there’s a ton of grip right around the bottom line, right where the apron meets the race track. You go in there, put your left sides on that line, and it gives you grip when you’re sliding around.”

Why is Kevin Harvick so good in Atlanta according to Bubba Wallace?
The Atlanta Motor Speedway has been on the calendar for a very long time. During its tenure, it has not been re-paved in a long time, and the surface has seen a lot of wear and tear in its time. Naturally, it has gradually become difficult to find grip on the race track and many have struggled.
However, Harvick seems to have figured out a way to combat that and implemented that tactic many times. This is likely the biggest reason why the #4 Stewart-Haas Racing driver was so good at this venue. When he spoke about Harvick in the docuseries, it almost seemed as if Bubba Wallace admired the driver.

During the 2021 NASCAR races at the track, Kevin Harvick was up to his old tactics once again. Unfortunately, they did not pay off, as Ryan Blaney won the race, while he could muster 10th. Admittedly, this was a time when the driver was struggling and failed to win a race all season. Now, the veteran driver is out for redemption; and even though the opening race at the Daytona 500 was a bit of a hiccup, there are plenty of more races to pick up the pace, including the one at the Atlanta Motor Speedway.
