Bubba Wallace has often talked about Michael Jordan as a team owner, and his ability to cheer a driver on. Jordan fans are aware of his competitive nature, which has brought a lot of success to him and all his ventures. But his 23XI Racing driver revealed something very very different and interesting about his owner.

Apparently, Jordan often takes his driver to the side to talk about things.

It featured Bubba in a recent podcast from Showtime Basketball, in collaboration with 23XI Racing sponsor, Money Lion. He talked about having an NBA legend as his team owner. Wallace explained the true extent of Jordan’s competitive nature, “But MJ man, he’s just, he’s competitive. And loves to poke the bear and bet against you, and just to motivate you. And he’ll like in the moment, he’s joking around, and, hey, ‘I’m betting against you here’.”

However, Wallace revealed that the legend will sometimes take him to the side and talk to him one on one just to make sure he isn’t misunderstood, “But then he’ll pull you to the side, and he’s like, you know what I’m doing, right? And then it gets results.”

Wallace wrecking Kyle Larson might have been the most iconic tale of 2022. But Jordan didn’t put the blame on him. In fact, they were with him throughout.

“It’s all on him, but in actuality, it isn’t,” Jordan said. “We are very, very supportive, we’re going to be there for him when he makes a mistake when he succeeds. We’re going to go down as a team, and we’re going to win as a team. I can understand his mentality, and that’s good. I used to say that as well.”

In fact, MJ had claimed that he never wanted his driver “to feel that he’s alone.”
