Bubba Wallace has had his fair share of on-track incidents and wrecks with other drivers. However, back in 2018, at Watkins Glen, the race had two highlights. The first was Chase Elliott got his first win in the NASCAR Cup Series. The second was Kyle Busch spinning Wallace off after an on-track altercation between the two.
After all these years, when the narrative of there being a lack of respect among drivers has erupted within the series, Wallace had something to share about it.
To elaborate on his take on the argument, Wallace recently recalled this past instance between him and Busch. This is when he revealed how he delivered a blunt response to Busch after his disagreement with the then-JGR driver’s point.

When Bubba Wallace did not agree with Kyle Busch’s “Mark Martin rule”
After this past weekend’s race at COTA, talking about what Kyle Busch told him in 2018, Wallace said, “He’s like you ever heard the Mark Martin rule. I’m like what’s that? He’s like when I catch you, layover. I’m like no, I don’t race like that, pal. But you get on the inside of me, you get there… You know it’s a total different style of racing. You know we both, it’s kinda like buttin’ heads right?”
“So I agree with both sides, there’s no respect in the garage. But I try to race everybody with respect. I know some guys just go out there and run you up the track, run you off the track. If I do that it’s my mistake…”
