The 23XI Racing driver, Bubba Wallace, has been a key entity in the sport NASCAR. As the Confederate flag got banned, #23 Driver has been pushing hard to create an impact on the sport for diversity and inclusion of other communities.

With him reaching out to Hendrick Motorsports driver Chase Elliott, a competitor and a friend, Bubba Wallace wanted Chase to use his power and fame to transform the sport’s culture.

Wallace said, “I told him, ‘Hey man, you have a voice, you have a platform,'”

Wallace said. “And he was like, ‘Yeah, but is it really gonna do anything?’ … I said, ‘Chase, you have one person that’s following you that looks up to you who will do everything you say, whatever it is.”

“You say the sky is green, then they’re gonna be like ‘the sky is green, God almighty Chase said that.’

He also added, “You’re also going to have that one follower that carries hate in their heart and that’s gonna do everything they can to show that. … But they also believe whatever you say. And if you go on there and share your opinion and share your thoughts and what you feel in your heart, then you’ve changed that one person’s mindset.”

Keeping the mindset for change anyone can overcome hesitation about such reforms. With Elliott’s popularity, he not only can change one fan with hate in their heart but also can inspire a lot of fans to be better human beings.

Bubba Wallace is proud of the sport

In an interview that took place back in 2020, Wallace shared some thoughts about the sport. He said that NASCAR and the decisions that they have taken delighted him.

In that, he mentioned, “I’m proud of NASCAR’S effort to keep pushing the diversity the inclusion we’re not gonna deal with hate we’re not gonna deal with racism everybody is welcome we will do whatever we can they will do whatever they can to make you feel comfortable”

“And if they don’t let me know because I’m already making changes I’ll use my platform to keep moving the message”
