Tyler Reddick is a hot commodity at the moment. Why wouldn’t he be?
The 23XI Racing driver is ranked 2nd in the driver standings, having finished no lower than sixth place in the last six races. His only victory came at Talladega Superspeedway this season, after which he celebrated his win. While the souvenirs were a thoughtful gesture that was appreciated by all, Bubba Wallace ruined it for his spotter, Freddie Kraft, by adding his autograph to them.
Kraft, who took to X to express his lighthearted disapproval of Bubba Wallace’s actions, prompted hilarious reactions from fans who voiced their opinion on the situation.

Bubba Wallace acting differently, Spotter shares a hilarious story
Earlier this season, Tyler Reddick secured his first and only victory of the season at Talladega Superspeedway in the most dramatic fashion. The 28-year-old was in fifth place during the final turn in the Geico 500 when race leader Michael McDowell, who started in the pole and led the most laps, attempted to block second-place Brad Keselowski.
However, contact between the pair forced McDowell into the wall, while the RFK Racing driver slowed down, allowing Reddick to step on the gas and get past the checkered flag. His victory was secured by the narrowest of margins, as only 0.208 seconds separated him from Brad Keselowski.
After the race, Tyler Reddick gifted everyone on the 23XI Racing team a hat and a flag from the Geico 500, as a memento to remember his victory. However, Bubba Wallace had other plans for his spotter Freddie Kraft’s keepsake, as the 30-year-old added his autograph to them. The 30-year-old’s actions prompted Kraft to write on X, “Really nice gesture by @TylerReddick to give everyone in the company a hat and flag from his win at Talladega. Unfortunately, mine got ruined when some dumba** in the hauler didn’t realize what they were and wrote their name on them.”

He may have only won once this season, but Tyler Reddick is hitting his stride at just the right time. With just three races to go before playoffs begin in Atlanta, the No. 45 Toyota Camry driver has secured ten top-five and sixteen top-ten results in 23 races so far. Such has been his form that in the last 10 races, Reddick has only finished outside the top 8 once, which was at Iowa Speedway. With momentum on his side, it’s not beyond the realm of possibility that Reddick could secure more wins before the postseason begins, starting at Michigan International Speedway.
As for Bubba Wallace, the 30-year-old is still vying for a playoff spot through points, just like last season. After Austin Dillon became the 13th driver to secure a playoff spot after a victory, three places remain up for grabs with as many races to go. Wallace, who finished fourth at Richmond Raceway, is currently three points above the cutline and is poised to make it to the postseason as things stand. However, he remains in a precarious position, as Martin Truex Jr. and Ty Gibbs remain above him, and Wallace will need to finish consistently high in the remaining races of the regular season to stand a chance.
With the camaraderie between the 23XI Racing drivers being as high as ever, Bubba Wallace could take notes from Tyler Reddick, given how consistent the latter has been. The 30-year-old is still looking for his first win of the season, and Wallace will hope that the next time he is signing souvenirs from race wins, it’s from one of his own. Meanwhile, fans took to X to share their reactions to Freddie Kraft’s tweet, with many sharing their hilarious viewpoints regarding the spotter’s behind-the-scenes story.

It didn’t take long for NASCAR fans to share their views on Freddie Kraft’s tweet. Remembering Bubba Wallace’s 36th-place finish at Talladega Superspeedway, his worst result of the season so far, a fan wrote on X (formerly known as Twitter), “Now let’s be fair alleged “dumb-a**” did have a bad day that day…. mind wasn’t prob focused on Freddy’s 💩. 😉” The Alabama native has struggled to get into Victory Lane this year, which has forced him to rely on points for a playoff spot. Remembering his lack of wins, another fan wrote, “Anything to act like he made it to victory lane himself this year. lmao”
However, some fans also took Bubba Wallace’s gesture in a positive light. Fans of the 30-year-old responded to Freddie Kraft, with their messages indicating that not everyone would be displeased at getting Wallace’s autograph on a hat and flag. Responding to the spotter, a fan wrote, “As a bubba fan, I wouldn’t complain a bit… 😏”. Echoing that sentiment, another fan went on to tell Kraft, “I’ll take them off your hand then”.
