Following Couch Racer’s tweet featuring the wreck video, fans flooded the comment section with a variety of views and opinions. Some fans compared the incident with last year’s wreck, stating, “Yah definitely exactly the same. Wait, did I miss the part where chase got out and assaulted someone half his size?”

Many fans believed that Bubba was initially suspended due to his altercation with Larson. Comments like “I think he got suspended for fighting KL and pushing an official” and “I believe Bubba got suspended for confronting Larson after the incident” were shared.
While there are those who believe that Chase Elliott did not intentionally cause the wreck, some called for him to receive the same suspension as Bubba.
