It’s no secret that Bubba Wallace and Denny Hamlin share more than just a driver-owner relationship. The two NASCAR Cup Series stars are good friends who often spend time with one another off the track. Recently, a video showed the two of them flying into Atlanta ahead of the 2024 Ambetter Health 400 in the 23XI Racing owner’s slick black private jet.

Wallace has been a part of the NASCAR Cup Series since 2017 and his professional relationship with Hamlin began in 2021 when he became the first full-time driver signed by 23XI Racing. Over the course of that time, the two have built a strong bond of friendship and trust. The Joe Gibbs Racing star has a lot of faith in his driver, who has started the 2024 season with two straight top-five finishes.

The video was shot by Brian Harmon, content creator and owner of the Aviate Alabama YouTube channel. In the video, Bubba Wallace can be seen exiting the jet first in an all-black outfit. He was wearing a black hoodie and black track pants. Only his shoes were white and he carried a backpack on his shoulders.

Much like his driver, Denny Hamlin also opted for a single-color attire, but his had a shade of olive green. The video was taken from afar, but at first glance, it seemed like the Joe Gibbs Racing star was wearing his business partner Michael Jordan’s brand shoes. Overall, both drivers cut relaxed but clean figures.

But it was not just their outfits that looked slick and clean, the private jet did too. It turns out that technically, neither Denny Hamlin nor Bubba Wallace owns the aircraft. Rather, it was Joe Gibbs Racing that bore the expenses for the two Toyota drivers.

The information about who owned the jet comes from Flight Aware, which used the aircraft’s registration number to figure out all the details. The model was a 1998 Canadair LTD CL-600-2B16 that had a couple of engines and 22 seats. In simpler terms, it is a 1998 Canadian Bombardier 600. The engine it carries is a GE CF34-3B (Turbo-fan) and has a thrust of 9220 lbs.

The Canadian Bombardier 600 series jets don’t come cheap. As per reports, the JGR’s jet is worth a whopping $6.5 million. The price of the jet is not a surprise considering how big, successful, and financially stable the team is.
