It’s often wise to be friends with the enemy of an enemy. However, it doesn’t work the other way around. You don’t have to be enemies with a friend of a friend! And Bubba Wallace’s friends Ryan Blaney and Corey LaJoie need to know that.
It’s common knowledge that Blaney and Wallace are the best of friends. Moreover, the 23XI Racing driver shares a great bond with the Stacking Pennies host Corey Lajoie. In fact, all three of them came through the NASCAR ranks together, sharing a similar yet different career trajectory. And their shared experiences should ideally have made it easier for the three to bond.
However, during Sunday’s Pala Casino 400, Ryan Blaney and Corey LaJoie were caught beefing by the in-car cameras. Around lap 75, Kaulig Racing’s AJ Allmendinger ran into the inside wall, ending his day at the Auto Club tracks. Apparently, Allemndinger’s contact with Corey LaJoie ended the race for him.

In a recent video posted by NASCAR, Allmendinger was heard saying on his in-car radio, “Whoever drilled me, just turned me down the wall.” To which, his spotter Frank Deiny replied, “#12 (Ryan Blaney) got the #7 (Corey LaJoie), got you there, bud.”
And of course, #7 wasn’t happy with what Blaney did. Upset by #12 making contact with him, LaJoie said over the radio, ” **** #12 stuck it in on us.”
Blaney, on the other hand, blamed LaJoie for running over his left rear. He said over the radio, “Check the left rear [tire]. *** Corey LaJoie, Run it over.”
Well, no matter who initiated the contact, it was Allmendinger who received the short end of the stick. Oh yes, and Bubba Wallace too. After all, he had to witness two of his good friends argue during a race that was already quite stressful for him.

23XI Racing driver Bubba Wallace has not had the best of starts this season. First, the 29-year-old could not complete his Daytona 500 race after being collected in a wreck. Earlier this week, he couldn’t reach the finish line at Fontana because of a failed engine.
Hopeful of putting forth a great performance, Wallace rode fast on the Auto Club tracks. In fact, at one point during the race, the 23XI driver did look like a serious contender for the lead. However, as reported by the Outsider, with only 25 laps to go, Wallace’s engine gave out due to overheating.
