Aside from being a competitive motorsport, NASCAR also packages itself as an entertainment product. So going to live concerts and pre-race shows does attract more fans to the races themselves. NASCAR does come up with its very own live experience, but the recent artist lineup revealed by IndyCar has taken home the win by a long stretch. This was also evident from 23X1’s driver, Bubba Wallace’s reaction to the artist lineup for the Hy-Vee IndyCar race weekends.

They already have a good pairing in Luke Combs and Post Malone and with the recent announcement, Kelsea Ballerini and Eric Chuch will join the musical act lineup. When compared to NASCAR’s Tim Dugger and Friends lineup, the IndyCar series has pulled ahead in terms of musical acts. Making the most of this opportunity, Wallace quickly aimed a dig at NASCAR, expressing his disappointment.

NASCAR wants to move from its traditional approach and attract new fans to the sport. At least that’s been their approach with the new TV deal and rolling out the Netflix docuseries. However, there is still some work to do when it comes to the musical artist lineup for the pre-race events and they could have done better, which was pointed out by Wallace. IndyCar, on the other hand, are making progressive moves and their lineup for the race weekend looks promising to say the least.

As soon as Jeff Gluck posted about the new artist line for IndyCar race weekends, Bubba Wallace quickly called out NASCAR’s move to go with an underwhelming artist roster for the 2024 Cup Series season. The No.23 from 23X1 replied to Glucks X’s post by writing, “Meanwhile. Leaf and twig will be performing for us on this side 🙃.”

Another interesting fact about the IndyCar live events for 2024 is that the fans won’t need to pay extra to attend these shows. The concerts are included in the race weekend tickets, another area where IndyCar shines in comparison to NASCAR live events. To rub salt in the wounds of NASCAR fans, they weren’t able to see Machine Gun Kelly perform live at the Busch Light Clash event at the Coliseum.

With Wallace keeping up his antics in letting NASCAR know about his feelings, the fans had a divided opinion when comparing the musical acts of both NASCAR and IndyCar live events.

As soon as the NASCAR fans knew about the recent updates to the musical lineup at IndyCar, they took to the comments sections and expressed their views and opinions on the comparison that was made by Wallace.

Impressed by the move and making the intention to visit the IndyCar race weekend, a user questioned NASCAR by staring, “Damn. This makes me want to go to @iowaspeedway in June AND July now. Nice work, @IndyCar. @NASCAR- your move.”

One NASCAR fan called out major sponsors to present them with such a musical lineup. He wrote, “Yea cause we don’t want Tim Duggar performing at every damn race. Lol. But also this should go to other sponsors in nascar. Look what @HyVeedoes for indycar. They when in wicked fast hard & have not stopped since. Nascar sponsors I’m calling you out to match this.”

Making a big speculation about IndyCar’s next move, a user sarcastically wrote, “And next thing you know, @taylorswift13will be there at some point.”
